About Jō Matcha

Some things are worth slowing down for.

Jō Matcha was born from a simple belief: that the finest matcha isn't found in a trend it's found in a place, a season, and a tradition passed down through generations of tea farmers.

We currently source exclusively from Yame, Japan, a region revered for producing some of the most exceptional green tea in the world. Our matcha is first-harvest only, shade-grown, and stone-ground to preserve the depth, sweetness, and vibrancy that simply cannot be rushed or replicated.

Why Jō?

 (上) means "above" or "superior" in Japanese, a reflection to the standard we hold ourselves to, and the experience we intend for you.

We believe matcha is more than a drink. It is a ritual, a pause, a moment of clarity in an otherwise loud world.
